There has been sufficient show at this track in these conditions previously to suggest he will be fine on this very difficult track. He is going head to head with Crannaghmore Boy, who has also run well when its been in this condition before, but for me he looks the only opposition the selection has. The return to this track and ground is key here and we could off to a nice start, We'll ease in on this saturady and play both the win and place on this one

3.05 Kempton - MADISON DE BERLAIS 1 point win 9 on Betfair (UNPLACED)

Now this is the type of race i like to start from the bottom and work my way up in search of a big priced opportunity, and what i do is look for a runner that can win the race, not especially beat the rivals, but just win a race of this nature, unfortunately i didnt come across that runner until i got to Madison De Berlais, and found only one other in last years woinner of this race Nacarat. The latter will be recieving an extra 2lbs more than when these two last met in the King George on Boxing day, and whilst i was serioulsy considering if that weight would make the difference today, i think Madison should be the call. Its going to be a tough job off top weight, but this pair should be too good for this field and i take the Pipe runner to come out on top. Just a note also that his Piraya could well get a place in the frame.

5.10 Chepstow - CRESSWELL CRUSADER 1 point Betfair Sp or 11 (WON)

This final selection of the day comes in the bumper at Chepstow. He showed great promise in his debut bumper finishing fourth. It didnt tale long for around five winners to come of that race and i have been keenly awaiting this ones reapperance. We should certainly be able to obtain some double figure odds about this one

If you are not confident of winning then don’t bet money. If you going to get upset if a horse loses then don’t bet money. If you not sure whether it is a bet or not a bet and you have start to doubt your decision making, then don’t play with money. Paper trade, get your confidence back and then return betting at the same stakes. Never reduce your overall stakes. Think in terms of points and not the bank i.e. risk rather than £’s. You can’t spend points so you won’t miss them.
